UK
Globalization has made the world smaller. It has also made the world wake up and take notice of the promise of India as a potential business partner, at all levels of operation. Documentation is one such field where Commit® has helped India in proving its mettle.
In late 2004, Commit® acquired a project with Rabobank in UK, to document the online help for a Risk Management Software called Pi. One of the most challenging projects ever handled by Commit®, writing for Pi had a further dimension to it, as we were actually documenting for the British! We subsequently did another project for Rabobank called Rabochat, an internally developed IP-based chat program to be used by the employees of Rabobank.
Commit® also worked with a small startup called Mantis, where we had to document the online help for their software called CommCentric. This was a solution for call centers to completely automate their processes and campaigns. The CommCentric project paved our way for offshore projects, as this was a phenomenal experience, where we took all briefings onsite, recorded the complete conversation, sent the conversation and the software to India, and got the complete online help written in India! Our successful completion of this project gave us the confidence to take on offshore projects and validated the process already in place.
The UK documentation scene has been very favorable to Commit®, as we were able to partner with Ace Global Services, a reputed IT services consulting firm. With this new collaboration, we worked on another project in the Contact Center domain that was extremely successful. Metastorm, a leading BPO services provider in UK also hired Commit® for our commendable documentation services. The documentation scene in UK is definitely looking up for Commit® and we're poised to grow rapidly, in the near future.
